311 Transistor....not for everyone....but awesome ! 311 took a short time to slap all these tracks on to one cd, and many fans weren't impressed. While most 311 fans aren't "Down" with some of the tracks which appear on the cd Transistor, they are amazed all the same. Others were, and "Transistor" opened up many doors to new fans. "Gap" is an old school track on this import and is so amazing, but the other highlights of this album are the mellow "Light Years", a song that can just make you think of where you stand in the world. Songs like "Starshines" and "Jupiter", are mega great! This album is a worthwhile purchase! For sure! The popular track is called "Transisor", and if you enjoy that track, you are in for a treat. Be sure to check out the mystery track at the beginning of the CD. :).
311 is back once again, and ruling
When I heard that they came out with Transistor, I bought it right away. 311 has always been one of my favorite bands since they came out with their original CD. I thought it was great! I like their older CD though. I, personally, reccomend this CD.
THE GREATEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!!
d!!!!. 311 should be haled as a high mark of music in the century all parents think us kids have all these really "bad Bands" in our music collection when, when they were kids they all got stoned off thie a**es and we just want 2 expand our mind with listening 2 some good music and if they actually sat down and listen 2 our music they might actually like it u never know!!! i also suggest the urge Master of styles because nick hexum helped mix that c.
WHAT THE HELL???
THE EXTRA TRACK ON THIS CD TITLED "GAP" IS A GREAT SONG BUT IT ISNT WORTH 17 EXTRA DOLLARS. TRANSISTOR IS A GREAT CD BUT TO PAY 17 MORE DOLLARS FOR ONE EXTRA SONG IS CRAZY. I'D RATHER BUY TWO CD'S FOR THE PRICE OF THIS ONE.
They've managed to do it again.
It seems every CD of theirs has a different rhythm. Once again 311 has changed they're style. I like Transistor for the most part but I think it could have been a little more upbeat and less slow tunes. I love this band and if your a fan of reggae or a fan of the bands don't pass this title up. If your looking for something more upbeat try 311-Music,punk 311-Grassroots,alternative 311-311. Try this CD for a new experience in music.
