Their unique blend of musical styles is so apparent on this CD, and the energy on it is no less than it is at one of their concerts. 311 is the greatest band that has ever been, is, and will be. If you want something to take you back to the greatest experience of your life (a 311 concert, of course!), _this_ is the CD for you! :-)

This CD is sik-
On the way to the 'Sprite Liquid Remix Tour' my friend threw this cd in and i thought it was great. . . didnt know many of the songs but it sounded nice. . . . when we get to the concert 311 was on the bill and they were the best out of the 6 groups there (3 rock and 3 rap) it was unbeleivable so i went out and bought this cd. . . it just puts me back in the mosh pit.


Good But Missing The All Time Fan Favorite
Some of the songs are a little slow but still great. This is a great live album with alot of great tunes like Applied Science with the extended drum solo. On here, you can find the fan favorite cover or Human Rights' Who's Got The Herb? which is a non album track found on the Hempilation: Freedom Is Norml benefit compilation. Also, Tribute, a non album song from the blue album sessions from ETSD. The one flaw I'd say this cd has is the absence of the all time fan favorite Fu88 the Bullshi8 and the more little known Summer of Love. Still this is a great album that doesn't deserve a Parental Advisory or and edited version (then again, nothing does). I own the regular one.


Well recorded live album.
This album is recorded very well, while focusing on the music, it also manages to capture the audience cheering them on at the same time. Straight up, this is my favorite band. This is when they performed in New Orleans, I though the Cleveland show was much better, but oh well. It includes the incredible Applied Science drum solo that just blows your mind. Nicks vocals stand out very well, usual I must admit they tend to be a little drowned out live. None-the-less, this is the next best thing other than seeing them live.

But thats not the point. I own the "explicit lyrics" version of this CD but for some reason, amazon does not sell it.

311 "Live" is possibly one of the greatest cds that I own. 311 is also probably the best live performance I have ever seen. I have seen them in concert about 5 times already and I would go over 1000 more times. They bring so much energy and positivity to the stage with them that once you are in that theater, you never want to leave. So I am glad that I can now capture some of that same emotion on CD.

The cd contains 14 of mainly their more popular hits that were played live. The entire cd is phenominal from beginning to end, but the highlights would definately be Homebrew, Beautiful Disaster, Misdirected Hostility, Nix Hex(With Tim Mahoney's unforgettable extended guitar solo), Applied Science(with Chad Sexton's unforgettable extended drum solo), omaha stylee, galaxy, hydroponic, and feels so good (with P-Nut's unforgettable bass solo).

So even if you haven't seen them live before, just by listening to this cd, you can tell that they bring massive amounts of energy to the stage with them. But if you haven't seen them live, buying this cd will only get you a part of the Live 311 experience. Go see them live for yourself and you will find that you will be anxiously waiting for every chance you get to see them live again. 311 CAN'T BE BEAT!!!.
