Also, I would like to thank all amazan team for such great and fast service! Thank you. this music is simply amazing! Mr.
refreshing.
i first stumbled across abandoned pools when i was. . a freshman in jr. high school?
to be honest, i ordered a jacket from pacsun and recieved the "the remedy" single as a free bonus.
well, the art on the disk looked cool, so i decided to check it out.
popped in the disk, and. . .
"wow. "
"this is pretty bitchin. "
i loved it.
i went on with that little single for a while.
never could find the cd anywhere.
years later. . .
now ive got humanistic and love it.
it took some getting used to. after hearing the remedy, i kind of expected something a little heavier, but hearing songs like sunny day and suburban muse made me think otherwise.
but youve got songs like monster and flourescine to balance it out.
the remedy deffinitely makes the album for me though. all these years and its still great.
all the songs are great though. its one of those cd's that i can listen to all the way through.
i recommend it to fans of lighter music.
or to fans with mixed tastes.
i plan on buying armed to the teeth very soon.
great band, great cd.
great cd
Amazon has it brand-new, plus the CD is great. It's hard to find this CD. Strongly recommend listening to Abandoned Pools if you're into alternative rock. .
Unlike anything I have ever heard
This is one of the best CD's I own. I have liked Abandoned Pools for quite some time now, but I always find myself coming back to this CD. Words just can't to decribe the feeling I get when listening to it; it's like I'm in a whole different world. The opening song, "The Remedy", is haunting, yet incredibly beautiful. "The Remedy" is my favorite song on the album too. I feel sorry for those who haven't heard of Abandoned Pools because they don't know what they're missing out on. .
Abandoned Pools - Humanistic
A good first single called "The Remedy" didn't hurt either. Abandoned Pools is basically a one man project of Tommy Walter, formally of the Eels, and when I learned this it peaked my interest in his debut album Humanistic. After the first single, which is also the first track, the rest of the songs on Humanistic sound very similar and aren't very memorable. Some will like the rest of these tracks a lot more than others. I thought they were good as I was hearing them, but they certainly don't stick in your head. My advice is to hear a couple songs first or pick up Humanistic used before shelling out your dough for a brand new copy.
