Take a ch-ch-chance on this great cd
I guess if I had the time I could figure out which songs were from Australia '77 and Wembly 79 and Stockholm '81, but I would have been happy if they did that for me. The only fault with this album is that the notes are almost non-existant.

The songs are all top shelf performances and just make me wish than in the late 70's I had not devoted so much energy to the punk music and kept my ABBA habit secret. I had all the singles back then but hid them as a guilty pleasure. Since I was more concerned with trends, I blew the chance to see them when they played the States and have only this cd (and a handful of videos and bootlegs) to keep me happy today. Don't make my mistake. Embrace your inner spandex jump suit; buy the c. d. Tell everyone proudly, "I love ABBA, especially ______ [fill in the blank with your favorite member]" and explain why they are great musically, vocally, and which of their costumes is your favorite. (I must admit any custume that had a cape works for me. ) Come on, repeat after me. . . I l-l-l-l-o-o. . . You can do better than that. . . Just say it. Maybe it will be easier if you buy this cd first.

I do wish that the powers that be would release the entire Dick Cavett show. Come on, if not for all of us, then do it for Benny and Bjorn and Frieda and Agnetha.

Review: ABBA live rmastered
It's obvious that ABBA was at an amazing height of popularity when these recordings were made. If your an ABBA fan, you'll be blown away by the audiences caught on these recordings. Good sappy fun.

Not just a studio band...
Surprise! This disc blows away any doubt that the ABBA sound was no more than a production engineer's ultimate triumph. As a long-time fan (I'm that old) I saw ABBA on TV years ago performing "live" in lip-synch Bandstand mode. Surprisingly intense guitar & drum riffs, up-tempo versions of already up-tempo songs, perfect pitch singing; in a word, tight. In 100 years, music historians looking at this period will list Bjorn & Benny with Lennon/McCartney and John/Taupin as the greatest pop music writers of the day; ABBA the band deserves recognition as one of the premiere performing units of that time as well. .

You Can Dance You Can Jive
The group is energentic and their vocals are on the mark. If you really like ABBA "GOLD" and you enjoy live music, then buy this CD. It's also cool to hear these songs a different way other than the studio versions. Some highlights on this CD are the audience joining in on "Fernando" and the kids singing on "I Have A Dream" .

abba live and poorly engineered
The hits are there but at least the drum sounds must be remastered. Half of the album has been engineered by quite poor standards. Why not the bass too. That's for the open-eyed abba fans of course. .
