ABBA the Greatwhat can one say . . ABBA, even more than quarter of a century after their desolution, still be the best. i can't say if it is the original Swedish songs or the English or the spanish ones that's the best version, or even some of the tracks are available in French and German.
the thing with ABBA is that they have a track to accompany every mood that one be in. fast tracks, slow tracks, some when you in the mood, and some when you are down on your mood.
.
Sometimes lost in translation but...
We love their music and we don't need to hear the songs in our language, so these versions may be recorded for Spanish fans (I mean: from Spain) but their are talking and singing as Latin American. At Latin America, ABBA has a legion of die-hard fans. We accept ABBA's effort even with that strange pronunciation (we need to read the lyrics in Spanish to understand what are they singing!!!). Some lyrics sounds really strange in Spanish and have no sense ("Conociéndome, Conociéndote", "Ring Ring") but the good ones are really-really good. I think the best translation is "Al Andar" ("Move on"), so its music has a particular Latin American sound. Fernando sounds like a South American song too. All songs represent one of the most beautiful efforts to conquer our hearts and we take it like it is. Frida and Agnetha would make it bad or make it good, but we still love these versions. (By the way, in Peru their music still sounds at the radio every day. . . ).
ABBA ORO
ABBA in total Spanish was a treat I did not expect! I honestly believe the songs on this album sound better in Spanish than English. . and I am a Georgia native. The vitality and beauty of the songs remains true to the classic, and I wish I could buy more in Spanish.

ABBA ORO
To me, this is the greatest DVD I own. I had purchased this item on tape years ago and decided that I wanted to purcase it on DVD.
Oro is pure Gold, of course!
It includes all their Spanish hits from Fernando and Chiquitita to Dame! Dame! Dame! (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme), Estoy soñando (I Have a Dream) and Al andar (Move On). Just as any ABBA album, ORO is simply divine. All fifteen songs have great sound quality and are perfect to dance at party or simply to enjoy a nice evening with good music.
This is a MUST-HAVE for every ABBA Fan.
