Rather disappointing
But, I'm more interested in fidelity of sound than in fancy packaging. Getting all ABBA's CDs in a box set for $100 sounded appealing to me. The lyrics to all the songs are not included in this set. None of them are. Also, the remastering here is significantly inferior to European imports produced in the summer of 2001, in my opinion. I think the remastering on the "Waterloo" import from June 2001 is the best I've ever heard on an ABBA CD, even though the disc appears to be CD-R. With the above issues in mind, I am not impressed with the "paper sleeve" LP-style packaging on this box set, either. My recommendation would be to purchase ABBA's first five albums produced in Europe in June 2001, while they are still available. Although there are a few good songs on ABBA's last few albums, I feel I can live without them. If someone wants a box set, and doesn't put a high priority on sound quality, or doesn't mind printing the song lyrics from online, this set may suffice. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere. .

WOW is all I say ABBA Rules!
All Songs are Great, and I Never get tired of listing to them!

This is well worth the money to spend for all these wonderful Studio Recordings will empress you!. I am an ABBA Lover of All their songs! I own this Set, and Thank You for The Music.

Almost perfect
I kknow that some collectors have griped that it is not really comlete and that a few studio tracks are missing but it is a beautifully made collection. In this box you get the complete remastered albums with some extras. All CD's come in LP like cardboard sleeves and are black CD's, meaning they look like LP's. There is a nice accompanying booklet as well as live DVD that complements it quite nicely. Where I will agree with some is that the sound is somewhat compressed at times and I have also heard superior masterings of these albums. Anyway it is a beautiful onject as they like to say.

A good opportunity for non-fans
For fans like me, the only "new" thing it brings is the Dick Cavett videos (a show that almost all ABBAfans have in VHS - complete! I bought it because my ABBA CDs are the common, simple, cheap versions. As a fan of ABBA for many years, of course I had all their releases. I bought it to update my collection, only.

On the other hand, for a person who want to know more about ABBA, and not only the hits, will have here the opportunity of a life. Very complete and well-produced, it's a chance to have the complete works of ABBA at once. .

you must know this fact
So if you want to hear ABBA at their best, this set provides the goods

the above review was coppied from the person who reviewed the coplete studio recordings with the dvd's. The remastering of ABBA's music (supposedly from original analogue tapes) on this mammoth box set is the best I've ever heard - there is a transparency and depth missing from even the recent 24-bit remasters (I think a different process and source materials were used). i was listening to the 24 bit master digi packs and then put on the above disc and the quality was so much better and more noticable and i am not even an audio buff it was an instance difference that you could not dispute, my wife can never tell the difference but gave this master a hands down win it is like being in the studio. this set is worth buying just for the sound even without the bonus material. who would believe a 24 bit master could be beaten.
