Happy, sunny song So it was a real surprise that the band still exists and they have a new album. I was afraid that AoB has vanished since they website said the new album will come out in Spring 2001 and it didn't. This was the first single of the 5th album "Da Capo" and although I think there are better tracks on the CD (the title track and Unspeakable for example), this one is a good song and good selection as single, and has a merry, optimistic feeling, just like the songs on their previous album "Flowers" (was called "The Sign" in the US). The single has the radio version (actually not too different from the album version -- now I'm playing the 2 at the same time and don't find any difference) and 3 remixes from which the Groove Radio Edit is the best, it has a really good rhythm. Also includes the music video. Oh! What a cloudy morning The Spanish Fly Club Mix is the only version worth listening to. I love Ace of Base but a little dissapointed with this single. the lyrics are not that great. I don't think this is a good follow up to their previous albums. This is one single you should save your money on. great cd While Linn is not featured in the song, except on backing vocals, it is nonetheless a great little upliftng tune and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. The maxi of Beautiful Morning features great remixes of this classic AoB hit in Europe as well as the video for the track. Jenny carries the song and is backed by the Bishop Choir, so it sounds a bit like Beautiful Life. The video is interesting and my only complaint is the way Linn appears in the video; she is practically not in it at all and when she is, she is shown with a cup of coffee or tea in front of her at some sort of restaurant. How discouraging to see her depicted in such a poor fashion. Contrary to how Ulf appears in the video, he is not, according to sources at aceofbase. com, homosexual. I strongly recommend the maxi single as well as UNSPEAKABLE & THE JUVENILE. oh what a beautiful cd! This is the first cd single from da capo is a graet son this cd also includes 3 more remixes and the video, which is impossible to watch in another way. What a great single to reopen their career It seems AOB label troubles haven't helped speed up releases. Many of us thought Ace of Base was toast with such long gaps between albums. This song is pure Ace of Base - it has a beautiful echo of their first album; so much so that you might think this song was actually intended for their first album, The Sign. It's great when a group returns to their original sound - especially when that sound was great. Beautiful Morning is up beat, light-hearted and fun to sing with. It has a great positive message, but this is the single; don't miss the album De Capo already released in Europe.
