A note from THE DARK ANGEL It was 14. You can't find this cd for the price I paid. 95, no shipping & handling charges either! It was well worth it. A 2 cd of some of the best of Aerosmith. No remakes and no bleeps or redone words like on the radio. Some of the best songs ever recorded as they should be. Cover art is fantastic! And the title says it all. A Little South of Sanity is definitely a state of mind that is purely up to date. TRACK 1 EAT THE RICH, TRACK 3 FALLING IN LOVE (IS HARD ON THE KNEES)on CD #1 and TRACK 6 CRAZY, TRACK 7 MAMA KIN and TRACK 9 DUDE (LOOKS LIKE A LADY)on CD #2 are pure ROCK AND ROLL HEAVEN!!!!! This is a must own 2 CD set. No complaints here!.
23 tracks of pure rock'n'roll
i actually owned it on audio cassette, originally, i'd bought it for 99 cents at a sidewalk sale. i wasn't even an aerosmith fan before having this album. . . but this is top notch rock'n'roll, from start to finish, hard rockin' tunes mixed with gutsy ballads. plus, the unpolished sound adds some attitude to the cd.
Go see them live instead.
They should have gone back and listened to their own Classics Live releases. A nice collection of the biggest Aerosmith tracks that lacks in a few areas. Most of the tracks didn't vary much from the studio versions, which would have added an added value to something that is audio-only. In fact, the only track that has any speical work done on it is Eat The Rich with the special intro. Also, it would have been nice if they had been able to use a live version of I Don't Want To Miss A Thing. Really, if you want the live experience, go to the show. It's way better. We even sang Happy Birthday to Joe Perry at the one I went to.
A Celebration Of Rock 'N Roll
But when I booted up my computer and burned this disc, I was blown out of my chair. I picked up this album at the local FYE not expecting much, and only purchasing this because I am a die hard Aerosmith fan. "Eat The Rich" is a stunning opening, with Steven's banshee shreiks, right on down to the shining conclusion "Sweet Emotion", I think album is for any rock fan, not just Aerosmith.
Fantastic Live 2-CD Set - Worth the Price!!!
I had most of Aerosmith's music and this is the first one I'm replacing. I previously owned this CD but it was destroyed, along with all of my other cd's, in Hurricane Katrina. .
