Great collection, great sound quality, don't forget to turn up the volume

5. I have the Toys in the Attic in multichannel sacd and it's top notch. 1 is still still the way to go and many of the songs from Aerosmith
deserve and should be heard in surround.

Even with the this just being a stereo sacd, you hear a lot more than
you ever could before.

Disc 1 is fantastic all the way through
Disc 2 is the weaker of the 2 but mostly due to the last few tracks
that seemed to be thrown in as fillers (11,12, and 13)

One thing about this set that struck me first was that while the initial volume
seemed decent compared to other SACDS which are a little low, that some of the bass
sounds seemed almost muffled slightly. Granted, I was listening to it in my car. . .
but after turning up a few ticks. . . there it was. It all fit.

This is meant to played with the volume up, so don't lay back on the knob too much.
It doesn't have to go to 11, but make sure you can feel it.

A no brainer!
Great band, great songs, great production, two discs, SACD, magnificent depth and sound staging, superb tonal balance and re-mastered way hot! A system showoff from beginning to end.

Good/Great
The sound quality is also quite superb--there are sounds and notes in many of the songs that I never noticed before. As stated in a previous review, this CD set does have most of the songs that you would ever want from Aerosmith. To be honest, this was one of my first SACDs and when I first listened to it it was overwhelming, there were so many things that I could hear at once that my mind went into overload. I, however, was a little disappointed that my SACD came in a slip that said "multichannel/stereo" and it turned out to only contain the stereo track, but I am glad I can now hear the music the way the Aerosmith intended it to.

My listening environment:
Denon DVD player
Yamaha Receiver
Klipsch speakers.

All the songs you want, but not the quality
This two-disc SACD has every song you would want from Aerosmith. . spanning the earliest hits to the most recent.
However, my opinion is to save your money for regular CD quality. I'm not an extensive SACD listener, but what I do have sounds better than this. The fact that it is only stereo and not multi-channel hurts it, and I don't see the point of the SACD. But if you love Aerosmith, this is the one (two) CD you need.
