Buy O, Yeah The Ultimate Aerosmith Hits I mean seriously what happend in the studio come on guys release something better than this. I love everything they have released but if you seriosly wanna buy a greatest Hits album of this band, Don't buy this one They left off a couple of there Number 1's some songs are cut way to short Like take "Livin on the Edge" it's original runtime is 6:21 on this album it's two minutes shorter, and "Walk This Way" buy Run DMC and Aerosmith is originally 5:11 and on here it's 3:40 and theres a few more songs that are cut like this. But hey I do give you credit there is two brand new songs on here the title song and Sedona Sunrise, and there purrdy good. but seriosly if you want some good Aerosmith songs please buy O, Yeah it want disappoint your tast for Aerosmith. it may cost a little bit more. But it's worth it.
Not Bad!!!
This is my first Aerosmith CD and it's really good! My favorite songs so far are Sweet Emotion, and Dude (Looks Like A Lady) If you love Aerosmith, you'll love DEVIL'S GOT A NEW DISGUISE: THE VERY BEST OF AEROSMITH!!!.
Seriously, if you want greatest hits - get "O, Yeah! Ultimate Aerosmith Hits"
A band like Aerosmith needs at least 2 CDs to fit their very best songs in it. This collection is pathetic considering how many good songs Aerosmith has. It's ridiculous that they don't even include a single from their Nine Lives album.
Legacy Yea Right!!!!!
stay away from this & all further released albums by this band until they give us more than Hits or Live compilations or Rehashed Blues numbers from artists who did them better in the first place save you money & buy yourself a Muddy Waters CD or a willie Dixon cd see where these rip off artists bit thier style from in the first place. Both The Lable & the Band are Guilty of Pissing Down the Leg of One of the true Great american Rock bands, Like The Other truely Great American Rock band (Cheap Trick) we have been bombarded with Cut rate compilations of past glory, What the band really has told it's fans is This, We have nothing Tangible to say we have milked our cow dry But we are not quite done Fleecing you so Give us your money because we spent most of our fortune sticking things In our noses & veins so Give us more money beause we are now addicted to your hard earned Cash.
Should've Done An Outtakes Collection
" Why couldn't they instead (or in addition) have knocked off the idea behind Retro Active?
This DOES include two outtakes from the Pump and Get A Grip sessions, and both are worthwhile. The cover is basically a knockoff of Def Leppard's outtake compilation "Retro Active. But if Aerosmith had to fill a contractual obligation as is obvious here, why not just make a full CD of outtakes, rather than yet another unnecessary "best of?" Anybody who would be interested in the two "new" songs already has everything else here, and anybody who is looking for a greatest hits CD would be far better off with "Oh Yeah" or better yet, with "Greatest Hits," "Gems," and "Big Ones. "
And while quite a few outtakes from their early years were released on "Pandora's Box," the outtakes from the later period (besides the two here) still await release.
This gets three stars just because the music is so good, but it's better heard elsewhere. I'm not finding a (legal) download for this on Amazon or on iTunes -- perhaps it's Sony's way of forcing you to buy the whole album if you want the two outtakes. But other than those two tracks, I can't think of anybody who really needs the rest of this.
