Somehow, its good.
" Roger's lyrics on this one sound better. I somehow managed to enjoy this album a lot more than "Something's Gotta Give. He's much easier to understand, doesn't sound like he's gut wrenching as much as SOME of A. F. 's other releses, and the lyrics are catchier. The songs aren't as Hardcore as A. F. usually is, but their written pretty well regardless. Bottom line: far from the best, but better than the worst. A. F. still has it, but they're just a lil different now. Good effort, all around.

Agnostic Front's worst Epitaph CD
Well, I would have thought that too. I know, all you non-skin head punks are probably thinking that all Epitaph released Agnostic Front CDs would HAVE to be 5 stars. But I was wrong. Sure "Something's Gotta Give", and "Dead Yuppies" are great but "Riot Riot Upstart" really lacks something (by AF standards). On "Riot Riot Upstart", the background music is purposely muffled a lot. Sure, it is like that on pretty much all Agnostic front CDs but this was much more muffled than usual. Not to mention it wasn't really that hard either. The simplicity, muffledness and lightness in the background music really leave something to be desired. The vocals on the other hand are as loud as ever. In fact the lead singer seemed to be focusing more on singly loudly then singing well on a lot of the songs. The lyrics aren't that great either. They have the same lyrical flaw that a lot of their earlier work did. That flaw is that the lyrics really only apply to people in New York. Not everywhere. If you don't live in New York, most of the songs have nothing at all to do with the society you know of. Either that or it is about being a skin head which also doesn't apply to me. Don't get me wrong. This is still a good CD. However, I would recommend picking up their 2 other Epitaph releases, and the digitally enhanced "One Voice" first.

FRONT STILL MOVING
I STARTED LISTENING TO THE FIRST SONG AND WAS ALREADY BREAKING THINGS. STRONG,POWERFUL RELEASE BY ONE OF HARDCORE'S FINEST. LOVE IT!.

OLDE SKOOL!
BOOTS AND BRACES WITH BUSTED FACES IS BACK ON ATTACK. THIS NEW ONE BY AGNOSTIC FRONT IS MAD OLDE SKOOL WITH A BIG OI! INFLUENCE. SKINHEAD STIGMA DID A JOB OF GOING BACK TO THE ROOTS OF HARDCORE WITH SOUNDS FROM "CAUSE FOR ALARM". IF YOU'RE OLDE SKOOL GET THIS ONE.

great hc cd
my favourites are the title track and jailbraek. Riot riot upstart is not as good as something's gotta give, but there are some terrific hc-trax on it. The bottom line is that AF brought another hc milestone with this cd, and it shouldn't miss in any hc-collection!!!!.
