This is just a reissue of a prior live album
Frustrating that they do this type of thing. I returned this back to Amazon as it is a partial re-release of the 1995 album, The Very Best Live. The 1995 album is very good. Highly recommended.
Alan Parsons live really can't be beat!
Most of the time I find live albums to be just awful, even my favorite bands can't seem to get live albums right. I've been an Alan Parsons fan my entire life, all twenty some years of it, and this live album just makes me love his music even more. They either sound hallow, flat, or without the richness that you would hope to hear if you were at the concert. Alan Parsons on the other hand, I think he's able to shine even more so on live albums. This entire album sounds so good that it is as close to being in the audience as you can probably get, really impressive.
If you are already an Alan Parsons fan, this is definitely one to get. If you are new to Alan Parsons, this will show you some of his finest work and will get you hooked.
Pros:
Amazing sound quality, especially for a live album.
Great mix of songs from five or six of his albums, from Eye In The Sky, to Gaudi, Vulture Culture, and many more.
Cons:
Only ten songs. . . :(.
This is One Great Live CD!!!
Collectors need this info. The sound on this live cd by Alan Parsons is great--my question is--where are other live albums by this great band? All songs on this cd are great but it does not give out any information such as recording dates and musicians. Every sone is excellent and it leaves you graving for more. Why no other live albums? That is the question. Fans get this one--the sound clarity and production are top notch!!!! i .
