Outstanding work by favorite Duo

Dewey Bunnel and Gerry Beckley have the marks of true artists; they never falter in their pursuit of the integrity of their work and remain steadfast in providing clear articulate lyrics and moving melodies. As a long standing fan of America since the release of A Horse With No Name, I found this CD to be truly one of thier best.

I am lost in a tranquil sea of harmonious and melodic sounds as I listen to each song which takes me back to a time when music was soothing to the soul and comforting to the heart.

From the first song to the last, America's Human Nature flows on an even tide, refreshing my mind and invigorating my spirit.

A truly wonderful CD. I also strongly reccommend thier Hour Glass CD.

Escape the frenzied, angry, stressful world and feel every nuance of your body and mind unwind as you listen to America's music epitomized in their Human Nature CD.

America
This group just keeps on getting better like vintage wine Human Nature is great cd. I lost this cd and i'm glad to have it back in my America Collection. I'm glad to say that i have every single cd by the group America.

Rondall Banks.

overwhelming
Three cathcy, brilliant songs all in one, and the last sounding like the great Andrew Gold (who you can hear on the recording on backing vocals), could have written it. I can't believe no-one has commented on the track 'overwhelming world suite', this is the best thing America have ever done, period. Gerry was so full of talent at this time, these three songs could have easily been separated, but it would have led to a dominance on the CD. I am amazed at the abundance of ideas that are crammed into this song, including who I can only assume to be 'Jeff Foskett', doing lead vocals on the 'come back' section. This sounds exactly like Carl Wilson.
Gerry's other winners here are 'moment to moment', which is single worthy, with its join in ending. 'From a moving train' and 'wednesday morning' are classic America.
Dewey has some of his best work here. 'Pages' has a memorable melody and a lovely acoustic guitar double tracked solo. 'Town and country' has some country feel to it. 'World alone' is a classic easy listening track.
I am not so keen on 'hot town', which is a fun rocker, but has some annoying backing vocals. 'Whispering' is also a bit grating, due to the 'whispery' nature of the vocal, which to me, sounds slimy and unappealing.
Still, a great album. Ignore the negative remarks, it is up there with some of America's best work.

Get this album
01 cost of the used CD concerned that I would "get what I paid for" but this is truely a gem that needs to be listened to. I'm an old America fan who has had a recently renewed interest in this band: Get this album! I was initially put off by the$0.

Gutsy album
"Wheels are Turning" is my favorite, combining a contemporary beat and gorgeous lyrics, but there are other winners including "From a Moving Train" and "Moment to Moment". I love the way they play with different musical ideas on this album, and still maintain the integrity of their unique sound. How refreshing to see a band that's been around for 35 years experiment with different sounds, rather than playing it safe and putting out clones of their hits from the Seventies. .
