Hey! A Galloping Joyful Ride! If you find the band overly corny, then skip it. Do you like the band America? Do they make you swing and hum and sing? Ok then, this is a great choice for you! It's a bevy of hit gems to sing along to and smile about. It's worth it if only for Ventura Highway, Daisy Jane, and Horse with No Name, I Need You, and Lonely People. They really are a great band that reflects a special time in pop music, the 70's.

I recieved it fast and in great shape. It is a great collection of a great band.
A Horse With No Name
Those artists that compose this outstanding group are very talented, and thirty years later, all is very emotional. I just discovered AMERICA group in an advertising, on a french television channel (yes, I'm a french guy!!!).
"A Horse With No Name" is, for me, the best track of this -Flashback- best-of.
To buy blindly, but the opened big ears.
GREAT VALUE!
All 10 songs were hits and all 10 of them are the original studio recordings (no live material or re-recordings that you find on some budget releases)! This CD has nearly all of America's top 40 hits. This CD gets 5 stars because it has 10 great songs for a great price. It is only missing their 80's hits You Can Do Magic and The Border (they were recorded for Capitol and this is a WB collection) and Today's The Day (which was one of Dan Peek's songs, I guess they wanted to emphasize the two remaining member's contributions, Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley, since Dan left the group back in 1977 they only included two of his songs). What it does include are two number 1 songs (A Horse With No Name and Sister Golden Hair), 4 other top 10 songs (I Need You, Tin Man, Lonely People, and the classic Ventura Highway), 2 more top 40 hits (Don't Cross The River and Daisy Jane), and 2 other songs that were minor hits on the top 100 chart (Only In Your Heart and Amber Cascades). If you want all of America's hits, then you should spend a few extra bucks to buy America's The Complete Greatest Hits CD. However, if you are a casual fan or have heard a few of America's songs on the radio and would like to hear more, you cannot go wrong with this CD! It gives you some great songs and classic hits for a cheap price!!
