I think it's a nice R'n'Bish song. This song is about one of Vanessa's friends, who committed suicide (or something like that). Vanessa has an excellent voice.

Hear it for yourself!. Need i say more? An amazing voice that is too good for words! Great song with a strong message.


SIMPLY TOO TALENTED! ! !

Vanessa is an extremely talented young lady, although still a 'teen' Vanessa's voice crosses the age barrier giving something special for the very young to the not so young, her powerful vocals, energy and style marks her for greater things, Australia is lucky to have such a quality performer in this young woman, I hope she gets her due. Australian music to a kiwi like me is a bit of a hit and miss affair, to be honest I would be more predjudiced against it given the trans tasman rivalry between our two countries (Aussies would understand! ), however I have nothing but good words to write and say about Vanessa Amarosi.

Vanessa has an album already out on the market with a number of songs showing how talented she is, however SHINE is by far my most favourite song. It has aspects of soul music, R&B overtones, and a more mature sound that I appreciate, no bubble gum pop overkill which the likes of Brittany and her carbon copies aspire to, Vanessa is a breath of fresh air that gives the listener something more than usual.

Im sure that for those of you out there you will not be disappointed by grabbing yourself a copy, youll like it love it like me, Highly recommended (from a kiwi, thats high praise indeed)!.
