poor Beekeeper Martha's Foolish Ginger is my favourite. Poor Beekeeper, everyone didn't like you! you have some mediocre/ lousy tracks, but there are some that are really, really nice. I was also sad that the song Garlands was banished to b-side land because it should have been on the album.
Produces little honey
. 2 1/2
The once ultra-passionate performer continues to refine an adult contemporary approach to the detriment of her compositional talents; if not for the final quarter of the lengthy indulgence the album could have completely busted.
The Only 3-Star Tori Album
It is not a bad record per say, but is a dull one, which is why I am giving it 3 stars. I have owned this album since it was released several years ago and have decided that it is the most disappointing album Tori has presented in all her career thus far. The songs meld together into easy-listening fodder, which is fine if you want to fall asleep or just play something in the background while doing crossword puzzles or something.
There are a few songs on here that I actually cannot stand and skip over, such as "Cars and Guitars" and the saccharine "Ribbons Undone". The rest of these mid-tempo songs might be better handled if mixed in with others from Tori's catalog. The best tracks on here are "Parasol," "Hoochie Woman", "The Beekeeper," "Goodbye Pisces," and "Marys of the Sea".
The length is unnecessarily long, and I have made my own, new playlist on my iPod, eliminating several songs and making this album a bit more digestable, but still not something to listen to if looking to stay awake:
1. Parasol
2. The Power of Orange Knickers
3. Sweet the Sting
4. Sleeps With Butterflies
5. Barons of Suburbia
6. Ireland
7. General Joy
8. Witness
9. The Beekeeper
10. Hoochie Woman
11. Goodybye Pisces
12. Marys of the Sea
P. S. If you can find it, there is a Jon B remix of "Hoochie Woman" on the Internet which is quite enjoyable.

CD - Beekeeper
CD was in great condition - would definitley order through the site agai!!!.
Okay
As a caveat, I do have A Piano: the collections and I found that every song that I really liked off of The Beekeeper was in the collections CD and those songs were strong, very strong. I am a very big Tori fan and maybe I haven't been keeping up with her, but I was disappointed with this CD. If I knew what I know now, I would not have bought it but then that is mainly from the fact that I already have the songs that I liked. If I had neither, I would buy A Piano: The collections and not buy the Beekeeper.
