i just got the cd today which is 4/1/02 and i learn that topsy-turvy is comin out tommorow how dope is that? I never even heard of this band before till today i was at a store and they played the video for shhh. . (hope diggy) and i bought the cd its dope as hell Linkin Parks Still My Favorite Band though.
Finally... something new and exciting
The video for "Shh. . (Hope Diggy)" sparked my interest enough in this band to go see what they had released and pick up a copy. Unfortunately, their full length won't be released until next month, but I did get to pick up this 5-song EP. I was definitely impressed. The middle eastern vibe is here, along with great meaty guitars, weird time signatures, and impressive vocals. My top picks on this album are "Bullshed" and "4RA's". The only reason this cd didn't get 5 stars is because the last song, "Trust Ease" didn't really grab me lyrically or musically. (". . . ignorant easter suit" just doesn't seem to make any sense to me) All in all though, The Apex Theory is an amazing new band and I am very excited about the release of their full length album, "Topsy-Turvy". Buy this EP and support this band!.

I purchased this EP at the concert, and i bought another copy a week later, one for my house, one for work. I have been lucky enough to have seen The Apex Theory perform on the SnoCore tour, having never heard of them before, i became and instant addict to their medterranian rock vibes.
I have also pre-ordered their soon to be released album Topsy Turvy, coming in early April.
from one show, i was hooked and i highly recomend this album to anybody, any age, any musical taste.

Get This!!
So I would consider Apex to be very similar to SOAD in songwriting ability since i'm sure Andy may have helped to write some of the early SOAD songs. If you are lucky enough to find this EP, GET IT! One reviewer has already mentioned that 3 Apex members are Armenian but did you know that lead singer Andy was the original drummer for System of a Down? It is true. Anyways, I've been a fan of these guys for over a year now, I am going to see them live for the first time tonight on the SNOCORE tour with AAF, glassJAw and ADEMA. I can' wait to get the new album "Topsy Turvy" which is on it's way right now (i'm getting an advanced copy).
Just be sure to pick up one of the 2 Apex CDs and catch them on the MTV2 tour this spring with Lostprophets.

O. This is a great new band!!! Along the lines of S. A. D if you like system, tool, primus, and other bands along those lines you will enjoy this I have!!! Just wish it had more songs cant wait for new album to come out later this month, will be buying that I hope they perform as well as they did on this short CD!!! You should also check out Dredg they are really cool!!!.
