One of the greatest Christian albums of all time. The three mmusical titans (DC Talk, nesboys, and audio a) were in their prime and dozens of new acts were popping up all over the place. 1999 was a great year for Christian music. Audio A's Underdog is one of the best Christian rock albums of all time. Its catchy tunes, solid riffs, and well produced quality has let it stand the test of time. Each song seems to have a special identity all its own. Get this great piece of Christian rock history. It is still great.
Packing the heat
My favorite song is the houseplant song at the very end. Still one of my all-time favorite christian cd's. This is top 50 all time christian album's in my personal opinion.
Best of Audio Adrenaline
I whould give this cd 6 stars if I could but I can't. Aduio Adrenaline's best cd! It has a lot of their best songs like Good Life, Hands and Feet and more. If you like Audio Adrenaline then I think you will like this cd.
Overall good
Sometimes this album gets on my nerves with it's pop sound. This album is overall good. There's a few hits. Buy this.
One of Christian Rock's All-Time Best
I do that because it is only once in a while that an album is simply a cut above all others being produced. For those of you that read my other reviews, you'll find that 5 stars is a rare occurence for me. "Underdog" is just that kind of album. Audio Adrenaline is a band that has always worked a variety of musical styles, with a consistent message of faith in Jesus Christ. But on this album, AA hits a pinnacle of performance in all of their divergent styles. Want classic rock? Here comes the title track. Catchy pop? You'll never get "Get Down" out of your head. Rockabilly? "DC-10" (a remake of their own song from their first album) is a tight, fun 50's romp. A call to mission? "Hands And Feet" is as compelling a call as you'll hear. Classic hymns? How about "It Is Well With My Soul"? And one of the most performed AA songs of all, the hilarious but wonderfully relevant "The Houseplant Song" gives people the ability to question how they're putting their faith into action while smiling the whole time. Quite simply, this is very close to being Christian rock's masterpiece, in the same category as DC Talk's "Jesus Freak", Jars of Clay's eponymous debut or Petra's "More Power To Ya". If you could only buy 5 Christian pop albums in your entire life, this really should be one of them.
