Audio A Goes Out With A Bang! And did they go out in style, as the first track quickly shows. Now, we didn't know it when it came out, but this would be the last Audio A CD of totally new material. "Clap Your Hands" is one of my favorite Audio A songs, a great rocking song that's just plain party fun. It's impossible not to either play air guitar, or dance. If you don't, you don't know how to have fun, because this song it cranked to 11 fun. And while not as good as "Clap Your Hands", the title song is a great rock song.
"King" is a great Audio A original worship song. Audio A never did a cover to do a great worship song, they created them, and this song is one of their best worship/praise songs. "Undefeated" comes with a little of Deja Vu, as it sounds a lot like the title song.
"Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher" is the best cover ever done of that song. Mark Stuart shines for good reason on this song, and blows the original out of the water.
Overall, Audio A didn't go out doing bad albums, they went out with some of the best work of their career. This is a great band, and they'll be sorely missed by all CCM fans. Let it be said Audio A went out undefeated and in a blaze of glory.
.
Great album, Audio-a's last so...a must have.
I have also the farewell concert from hawaii and it was heart breaking for me, an Audio A fan to see them say goodbye. The album has very nice songs and the great sound of audio-a, sadly mark's voice is noticeably fading. Songs like "king" and "undefeated" sound incredibly good. I hope Mark's voice get better so they can reunite and rock again. .
Best Audio A recording in years
I mean, I'm a loyal Audio A fan who buys all their CDs and have come to expect a certain level of excellence from them in every recording:
This CD took it to a whole new level. The infectiousness of this CD really took me off-guard.
Upon first listen, it was better than I expected. But on repeated listens, it just kept getting better! Each song is so addictively melodic that I practically get a different song from this CD stuck in my head every day. And I've had it for over 3 months now.
I found Worldwide (their previous CD) somewhat disappointing and formulaic. Too many pop/AC singles on it. But this disc delivers the goods, maintaining the difficult balance of melody and rock at all times.
I also want to mention how Tyler's vocals are really a highlight on this CD. I love Mark Stuart's gravelly vocals and always will, so in the past the "Tyler" songs were mostly radio-friendly pop tunes, which IMO were second-rate to the rockin' "Mark" songs. But this time Tyler amps it up vocally, and shows us he can belt out the rock vocals as authentically as Mark can. Way to go! I'm convinced.
I love this disc. Not a bad song on it.
Amazing CD form an Amazig band.
I like bands like Seether or knickleback. I'll admit it, 2 weeks ago I hated the thought of seeing adio adrenaline in concert with my church youth group. . . not this mess.
Then I went to a concert. . . now I own 1 of their cd's (this one) and am planing to see them in concert again this June.
This is a great CD, I have fallen in love with Audio A.

Polished and Heartfelt
This disc has more of a worship feel to it and really reflects this band's maturity and longevity. Audio A is back, and while this cd has some great moments, it doesn't top "Worldwide". "Clap Your Hands" kicks off this disc in true AA fashion and other stand outs are "Until My Heart Caves In" and "Starting Over". I particularly like their remake of "Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher"! This cd really shows off their excellent muscianship with the only real disappoinment being "King". The song itself is uplifting in its lyrics and delivery but falls victim to the same formula (structure and chord progression)that has driven the "worship song" format that has become all too popular lately. Worship songs are great, but some diversity is needed from all the "cookie cutter" songs hitting the airwaves. If you are new to AA, grab "Worldwide" and "Hit Parade". That's a solid start to this amazing band and their passionate ministry of music!.
