Customer Reviews Roots, Erykah Badu- You got Me The Roots and Erykah Badu drop a memorable rap/r&b collabo. "You got me" is one of those tracks that really stands out, very powerfully. Black Thought is on the mic on this one, and drops some very memorable verses. Really this is a love song, somewhat sad, and very moving. Also recommend watching the video for it, where Black Thought is walking down streets, full of people that are out (dead/sleeping?) and near the end he settles down besides his woman played by Eve. This single can be found on the Roots album "Things Fall Apart". This track also helped give The Roots some more mainstream appeal, which is good to see, as the Roots in my opinion are one of the nicest, most original rap groups out there. You Got Me Remix? Period. Off the hook. Up-tempo, refreshing alternative to the original. It's worth the price of the Import CD just with that song. A Tight Cut The Words which came from Scott are tight. Mad Props to Jill Scott,The Roots&Erykah Badu for coming up with this Gem. Badu sung them with Feeling. Q-Love with that English Style Beat on His Drums near the end that's Classic. check it out. .
