Pat Sings the Blues
It is a great album full of great blues tunes. On True Love Pat Benatar stretched her limits to include her love of the blues. It fell short of being a hit but is still a good listen. Rock music was born out of the blues and you can hear it in this pure blues collection.


Pat Benatar's Surprise Treasure
Tracking it down on Amazon (where else of course) proved to be a great move. I became aware of this album by way of the "True Love" video. It's a fast paced smokin' jump blues album that BELONGS in you Benatar collection. This little lady heats up songs like Bloodshot Eyes, Payin' the Cost to be the Boss, I Feel Lucky, Good Life as well as providing sultry vocals to the afore-mentioned True Love and So Long. This lady can sing! And the backing musicians are all spot on top notch people. Do yourself a favor, if your a Pat Benatar fan or a blues lover (I'm both),and definately give this album the listen it deserves. And,just maybe, if we get lucky, she'll do another one someday.


nice sound
tight band playing behind her. pat benetar's voice lends itself quite well to the blues. the only thing that kept it from being a 5 star is including "come home for christmas" on the cd. don't get me wrong, it is a great song, but cut a christmas cd and put it on there.


Great Stuff
Something totally different for Pat Benatar. . but she is so versatile and has the most amazing voice any way she decides to sing. This collection of songs, the blues, the horns, the style, just love it!.


She will forever be a classic artist.
Every song spills over in her skill and amazing vocal ability. Pat Benatar broke through her Hard Rock style with this album. She is truly a force to be reckoned with. If you have any sense of jazz/blues in your bones, try this album for something different. Her amazing ability to emote passion and love within a song comes through with such ease.
