Pat Benatar is Invincible! Pat Benatar was known for her vocal range and her stylish videos. This Pat Benatar collection is a good compilation of some of her most memorable hits from the 1980s like Love is a Battlefield, Invincible (from the Legend of Billie Jean movie), We Belong, Heartbreaker, etc. She still makes music and sings today. She is happily married to her musician husband for almost 2 decades and has two daughters. Not bad in an industry where marriages end quickly. Pat Benatar can sing meaningful songs like Invincible which is one of my favorites. Back in the 1980s, movies like the Legend of Billie Jean always a song and a video to attract viewers to the movie screens. I don't recall Legend of Billie Jean as a hit movie but I remember the song and it fits perfectly into the movie's premise about a brother and sister rebels running from the law with their two friends across the country. They meet Keith Gordon's character. You will remember him from Dressed to Kill and as Arnie in the film, Christine. Dean Stockwell plays his father. The movie was decent and watchable but I remember the song every time. It makes you feel invincible when you hear. Isn't that what music is supposed to do? To make you inspired, stronger, and invincible.
Rawness and Strength
As a younger fan who has become familiar with her work through the radio, I must say that this CD has made me truly appreciate all that Benatar has done for music. I was too young to remember the heyday of Pat Benatar's career, but there was always something about her voice that drew me to her music.
I don't know Benatar's albums very well, but this CD has done a great job of introducing me to her music. There's a rawness and strength to her voice that is unique to the music world, yet she is definitely singing, not merely screaming. Songs like 'Heartbreaker' and 'Fire and Ice' demonstrate the strength of her voice, while softer tunes like 'We Belong' demonstrate her true musical ability.
I've seen some say that "Best Shots" is an incomplete collection of Benetar's greatest hits, and that may very well be the case. I've often found that greatest hits albums are missing one or two songs that have had an impact on many fans. But as someone relatively new to Pat's music, I must say this this record has made me appreciate her work. And isn't that one of the purposes of a greatest hits album?.
A decent and well known Pat Benatar compilation

Actually...
However, this album is in fact missing Treat Me Right and You Better Run. Crimson and Clover was Joan Jett.
Still, a very good showing for one of the best voices in rock.
like this CD
but it is missing something(s) treat me right and crimson and clover. this is a good CD. Pat did a good job on both of these songs. .
