It is superb. I had this on LP and am delighted to now have it on CD. I'm in George heaven listening to this album - Highly recommend!!!!!!.

Close to perfection
Boy, was I impressed, but what's even more stunning: I still am after all these years! "In Your Eyes" is a collection of ten songs, each one a pearl of its own right, highly polished rhythm'n'blues pop. After the impressive "Give Me the Night" I had to get this album instantly when it hit the market (in 1983). Produced by the talented Arif Mardin, we listen to a bunch of sought-after cats of the Californian studio scene back then. Toto keyboarder David Paich pennend "Lady Love Me" together with James Newton-Howard (a track which could have easily appeared on Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album as far as the style and quality is concerned). Kafish contributed "Inside Love", a highly danceable disco track. "Never Too Far to Fall" starts with great chorus vocals, leading into a synth bass driven beat. Sure, George's gifted guitar playing was dislodged into the background a little, but that was obviously the strategy at the time. The cover image appears almost unreal, as if George was painted onto that couch he's sitting on. All in all I think this is a milestone in Benson's discography. . . Worth having, worth enjoying.

Is and has always been incredible
Now I am replacing my collection to CD. I have so many of these albums on 8 track. I listen to the sound bites and recall how incredible he is. I hope he is worth millions because he deserves every penny of it. Thanks George for sharing all your talent. .

Slamming
In Your Eyes, he went to uber producer Arif Mardin and came up with another dime piece. George Benson keeps amazing people with his chameleon like vitruoisty. Feel Like Makin Love is a breezy jazz piece. Inside Love is one of my favorite songs because 1. It was written by Kashif, 2. Arif employed Lillo Thomas, BJ Nelson, Kashif and Brenda White King to sing those gorgeous backgrounds, and 3. The instrumentation was on point.
Love Me One More Time is a dime piece. Love Will Come Again is slamming due to the fiery vocal prowess of Chaka Khan. The first side of the album is dope while the second is left to be desired or remembered. Still a good solid effort. Grade: B.

A true gem
Most of the times listeners became surprised after learning it was not pop, but jazz. Anyone familiar with pop sounds can identify most of the songs in this album as they were frequently played in the early 80's at pop music broadcating radio stations.

Benson at its best outreaching the general public. . . bet you will like all the songs.
