Bloody Brilliant Anthology
This set includes 29 rockers by the original Black Sabbath lineup featuring Ozzy Osbourne on 2 discs and a great booklet for $32. Ozzy would call this anthology "*** brilliant", but I'll go with "bloody brilliant" which is still British. Sure, you could spend $10 and get the "Greatest Hits 1970-1978" single CD with just 16 songs or $13 and get the "We Sold Our Souls for Rock 'N' Roll" with 14 songs, but you'd be missing a lot of great music. But if you're not familiar with their music and just want to check them out, you could start with one of those; if you like it, you can sell it to someone else and get this to replace it.

Alternatively, you could get "The Complete Original Black Sabbath" box set with all 8 studio albums from the original band for $90. I had some of these albums when I was growing up and still have the first one and Sabotage on vinyl; frankly, I almost never listen to them even though I listen to this set at least 4-6 times a year. Black Sabbath is one of my favorite groups, but I don't feel any need to go get the box set.

I do have "Heaven and Hell" with Ronnie James Dio. I actually like Dio a lot including his work with Rainbow, Black Sabbath, and his own Dio band. After writing this review, I ordered "Mob Rules" and "Dehumanizer" and was very impressed by both albums, especially the latter from 1992. I also got the newest offering from the Dio version of Black Sabbath, "The Devil You Know", which they released under the band name "Heaven and Hell" to avoid confusion with the Ozzy incarnation of Sabbath. It is an outstanding album.

Great Black Sabbath CD
I bought this CD over 5 years ago and now the package is very worned out and the CDs are starting too wear out but still work pretty good. This CD has every Black Sabbath song you will ever need and plus a nice 48 page booklet containing rare pictures and a little biography. These are the greatest hits from 1970-1978 the Ozzy era but Black Sabbath in the 80s with DIO wasnt too good. This is the real Black Sabbath. If you want too start on Black Sabbath this CD is for you.

For the price of $28. 99 you get two CD's a 48 page booklet and all in all about 30 some songs. A pretty good deal if you ask me. Some key tracks on this album are, Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Iron Man, Warning, Sweet Leaf, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Tommorows Dream, the list goes on and on. Try it out for yourself and purchase this CD too say.
Trust me you won't regret it.

A fine starters kit!
these songs revolutionized music, every one of them classic in the halls of rock. this review is for any person just getting into this alltime classic band, all the hits are here,a perfect way to get familiar with the band. so start with this and then go out and buy all the black sabbath studio releases with ozzy, then your going to want to add sabbath`s next two cd`s with dio,(heaven and hell, mob rules)&LIVE EVIL from there we get to born again with ian gillan, and finally even the reunion with dio on dehumanizer is a solid album,.

THIS IS IT!! The most COMPLETE and BEST collection of Black Sabbath in the 70's.

P. This collection contains the greatest hits of Black Sabbath in the 70's without a single song missing!!!!

No "greatest hits" collection of Black Sabbath has ever been this complete. S: Is MUCH better than "The Best of Black Sabbath" collection.

Adios.

Best of the REAL Black Sabbath

If you only buy one Black Sabbath album, make it this one. This is Black Sabbath as you remember them, and as your parents most despised them.
