You've Got to Hear This Guy Blakes "West Coast Blues" (on this disc) is what originally turned me on to country blues. A great listening disc, as well as great guitar work for the player.
This selection, for his early recording period is one of the greatest musical achievements in recorded American music. If you buy this disc, you are in for a rare treat.
Great, raggy, fingerpicked, speedy blues.
