A great overview of Blind Blake's music. I found that his music is very approachable, and lyrics that paint a picture of the many types of music that he mastered. I had heard of Blind Blake referred to as a great inspiration for second and later generation blues guitar pickers/players. There are rags, jazz and blues songs, minstrel show music and more. Though the songs are recorded in the late 1920's, his viruousity as a guitar player shines through. This is an excellent CD to experience this "founding father of ragtime guitar" in all of his elements.
