good album for true Blur lovers
I would not recommend for light Blur fans, but it is essential for die hard blur fans. There are some good mixes of Blur songs on here (beetlebum).

nice treat
the live songs are good and charged up but i don't find myself listening to them too much. an odd collection of various electronic interpretations of Blur songs plus some live cuts. the remixes offer alot more to chew on and there's some really good ones that require repeated listens. particularly the "well blurred mix" of Death of A Party. and if you like that song, there are 3 different remixes to check out on this cd. it's a good thing, because of all the songs represented on this first disc, "Death. . . " seems to be the one that really lends itself open for a remix. the other selections are sometimes off the mark, but always interesting. overall, not an essential album, but a nice treat for fans of later era Blur.

A rarity but a good one at that
These tracks are squelchy and/or noisy ( Thurston Moore's mix of Essex Dogs can be extremely noisy ) and as for the second CD. This is an odd album in the Blur canon but don't let it slip through your fingers. . . . . . well it's ferocious in it's power yet it suffers a little considering you can hear the drums hissing the most

Still essential for the diehard Blur fan.

trippy remixes and fast paced live rock
There's even an essay in Japanese. It might be better title "dronin' and bustin'" as disk one features all of the droning, "trippy" remixes and disk 2 the more "bustin'" live tracks (whatever "bustin'" means?) You get a big fold out insert with all of the lyrics printed in Japanese as well, so you could learn a second language through Blur songs, I guess. I can't read them. But the music is high quality, definitely worthwhile for a fan of Blur, but not a must. John McEntire and Thurston Moore help to do some very interesting mixing with Blur's tracks. More for the fans of songs like "Battle" than songs like "Girls and Boys" or "Chemical World".
