What happened In my opinion if Bon Jovi released these sorry revisions in the eighties instead of thier originals they very likely would be flipping burgers today. Do youreself a favor and preview these re-issued titles prior to buying the sacd. .
Please don't
Not because they are ballads. Terrible versions.
Just because they're BAD.
There are good and bad ballads, these are the worst kind.
Stay Away.
This album sounds like Bad Medicine
If you want a compilation of the songs that made them famous as you remember them, the look elsewhere. If you are looking for an album of Bon Jovi covering their own songs in a soft rock style, then this is for you. At the risk of being overly negative, this album starts off bad and gets progressively worse. . . if I can stomach listening to it a few more times, it might grow on me, but that is a big IF!.
Avoid!
I found myself skipping each track as they had ruined each song. Wish I had looked into this CD more before buying it. . . And before I knew it, the CD was done.
This Left Feels Right
It is a great departure from Bon Jovi's usual sound. For most people the first time they listen to this cd, they are in shock. In every album they have made they have grown in expression and dimension. This album is an even greater growth. Yes, the sound is different, and it takes a little getting used to, but if you really listen to the songs and the way the band portrays them, they are wonderful. They have taken their music and creativity to an all new level. As an avid fan club member, I was even shocked and almost apalled the first time I heard the cd, but then I realized this was not meant to replace the music we all love, but to expand on it and look at it in a broader spectrum.
