An Album in the Same Style as This Left Feels Right Doesn't Crack it With Original Songs
Obviously no one still expects them to put out albums today that set the scene of what is cool music wise, that they did back in the 80's and early 90's with the classics such as Slippery When Wet, New Jersey and Keep the Faith. I was very disappointed with the latest album from Bon Jovi, a band that has put out numerous exceptionally high quality albums throughout their career. Obviously like everyone else from that era they rely on the next generation to tell them what is the latest rage music wise but this album music wise doesn't seem to fall into the latest style or ignore the latest trends and maintain their classic sound.

The album is like a continuation sound wise of their previous album This Left Feels Right, which was a greatest hits album rerecorded with their classic songs in a way that emphasised their lyrics. That was great for the classics songs hearing them in a new way but this style for a whole album of new songs really doesn't do anything for me or anyone else I've come across. Have a Nice Day is catchy and fast enough to be a great live song and it'll be around for a while if not forever but I don't think in five years time any other song from this album, like with other mediocre albums like Crush and Bounce will be played on the radio or at a Bon Jovi concert (and make sure you go to one of these before you or they die as they are the best live band one earth). I hope that the guys have a few more good albums left in them but this certainly is not an indication that they do.

A great album, the New Jersey guys keep rockin
After "this left feels right", I feared bon jovi might be changing direction again, but nope, this album got them back to true form and rock. I bought this album the day it came out, and have not grown tired of it yet. As their albums before, they use Rock, as well as the Ballad, in its pure form to make some great songs. And who else is a better master than Jon Bon Jovi at writing a love song. I loved their Crush album, and bouce was decent, and this one I would rate in the middle of those two. Great bonus DVD feature of this dual disc with video footage of the band and the "have a nice day" video as well. Another great album, and a must for the Bon Jovi fan. How can you turn away from that evil Smiley face at the store, it'll come get you if you don't buy this album.

I saw them Wed. This is one of their best CDs! Great songs and I like the duet with Jennifer Nettles better than the version with just JBJ singing. at Giants Stadium and they were amazing! If you get the chance to see them tour this year in support of this CD, you will love it.

It's one of their best CDs. Bon Jovi fans you will not be dissapointed. If this is your first Bon Jovi CD, good pick. The songs in here are great. THere are only 2 I can't get into.

Have a Nice day. . . Great song. Picks you up. Really great.
I want to be loved. . . . really nice.
Welcome to wherever you are. . . . My favorite. Listen to the words, enjoy the song.
Who says you can't go home. . . . It's catchy. You'll sing it all day.
Last man standing. . . I didn't like this one at first. I thought it was a goodbye song from the band. But after the concert I really like it.
Bells of freedom. . . one of the two I don't like.
Wildflower. . . it's ok. not one of my faves.
Last cigarette. . . the 2nd of the ones I don't like.
I am. . Great ballad. Loved it. One of those ballads you can scream/sing in your car alone.
Complicated. . . . LOVE IT!! Another great car loud song. Will break a bad day.
Novocaine. . . great!! Awesome for that person who did you wrong and you want to curse them out. LOVED IT
Story of my life. . . softer but good.
And the duet. . also good, I really like this one. I've seen the video so many times She ( jennifer) feels like part of the band.

So Buy it, Sing it, LIsten to the words, enjoy the melodies.
You will not be dissapointed.


Better than This Left Feels Right
I'm sure it's to cater to their female fan base, but this one is loaded with mellow ballads and love songs. The album's opening track "Have a Nice Day" is probably the hardest rocking track on the album. The album is still good, just not as pumped up as their eighties releases. It's still better than This Left Feels Right.
