Deserved More Attention!
I understand that commercial radio doesn't really accommodate this music, but these songs should have been all over college and listener-supported stations. I can think of several "pop rock" albums that were inferior to this one but got more attention at the time. These are very well-crafted songs. I really enjoy Kenny Withrow's guitar tones and the riffs he's come up with, and I like that most of the songs include quality guitar solos. It's great when a song has both catchy elements and grooves where the players can jam a bit. I view this as mature, complete, pop rock, with high-quality composition and musicianship. I'll see them in a heartbeat if they ever come to Philly. .

Much more mature Edie
If you listen to this album and "Shooting rubberbands. . " you can hear the maturity and richness in her voice. Excellant album!.

Good as the old, good as new
It's good. This album from Edie and her Bohemians is right in the same fashion as the two from earlier days. Some songs are acually great, and Edie's vocals have improved. Some songs are not that great.

The style are very familier, but stil sounds fresh. The band has obviously played a lot the resent years, and sounds good and alive!

The circle (sorry. . . ) is almost complete. The two originals are good and somewhat groundbreaking, the first solo is not that good, the Sessions from a few years back tells us about a new beginning, the solo Volcano fra Edie has a few fantastic new songs and this newest album from the group is right there with the old!

Recomended for fans and followers of well-written, emotialy deep and well played acoustic/electic pop/rock with a dash country!

huge fan
I sang to all the old albums right up next to the stage. I recently went to the concert in Bearsville Theatre in Woodstock. I couldn't wait to learn these new ones for the next concert.

Still Amazing After all these Years
Edie took a good amount of time off to raise her kids and joined up with the boys when she went back home. It's been 16 years since we last saw a New Bohemians official release and it's really awesome. I'm really glad that over the years they put together some great material to put out this new album.

Edie's voice is as great as ever and she's as beautiful as she was 16 years ago. Kenny still plays great on the guitar. Carter was a great addition to play keys and backup guitar. Great to see Brandon back on drums. John and Brad are great as well. Edie is great solo, but they are so much more as The New Bohemians.

The title track Stranger Things is a great way to start this one off. You can't go wrong with any of the songs. Spanish Style Guitar just rocks and the No Dinero adds a little southern flavor to the song. My favorite of the bunch in A Funny Thing. The album has a lot of different flavor as these songs have been written over the past 10 years I'm guessing. You really can't go wrong with this one.

If you like this one - I would suggest looking around for a copy of a cd called Live Montauk Sessions that was put out by the band back in 1999 or 2000. They have been back on the road and hopefully will spend some more time out in the next couple of years. great to see them back!
