Ropin the Wind . I came upon this artist's work very late, about ten years late, but i am enjoying the variety of theme, subject, musical style and pace that makes up his work.
Garth at his second-best! "No Fences" and this make a perfect pair.
Like "No Fences," this album contains many standouts (and/or singles) that were all over pop/country radio in the early 1990's. After the release of his best-selling album to date, Garth Brooks released his third album, entitled "Ropin the Wind" in September 1991.
My personal favorite is "Rodeo," which is a song that I grew up listening to in the early '90's. There are also fine tunes like the honky-tonk showtune "Papa Loved Mama," the graceful "The River," the album's opener, "Against the Grain" and a cover of Billy Joel's "Shameless. "
A great album to pick up after listening to 1990's country-rock classic, "No Fences. " .
GOOD MUSIC
I have been a collector for some time
and have filled in where I was lacking. I have all of Garth Brooks C/Ds now. I have his limited editions and
DVD limited editions. (released by Wal-Mart)I feel this C/D is very good, it has a little bit of a different feel than his previous releases I highly recommend this C/D for all Garth Fans. .
Best!!!!!
This is by far the best Garth Brooks album he's ever made!!! I remember it when I was younger and I still play it over and over!!! It the best!!!.
Excellent!
Still, I've tried to put them in the order that I like them best. I'm not a particular country fan, but not only does this CD have great sentimental value for me, but it truly has great songs! There's not one I don't like. Of course, that's difficult and some may be interchangeable depending on my mood.
Burning Bridges--Beautiful song.
Shameless--So great.
What She's Doing Now--Also beautiful.
In Lonesome Dove--Ditto.
The River--Such a nice song.
Papa Loved Mama--Another story song! Love those.
We Bury the Hatchet--Fun.
Cold Shoulder--Very nice song.
Against the Grain--Ditto!
Rodeo--Umm, ditto!
Which One of Them--I didn't remember this song from the first time I owned the album, but it's good.
So basically, it's an all-around winner! Good for listening to continuously. .
