Jimmy Buffet sings again My husband and I love to listen to this CD and enjoy the songs that are sung on it. This CD was purchased to replace an already existing CD that was damaged and no longer usable. It has a very upbeat theme.
great live recording
one of jimmy buffett's best live cd's i bought it because it was the only cd i found "gypsies in the palace" on when i played the cd the whole cd was great.
A snooze
These are party songs and he brings the perpetual atmosphere of island life to his concerts. Buffett has never been known for his great singing voice or guitar virtuosity, but that has never been the appeal of his music. For Parrotheads, this CD is a great way to live or, in many case, re-live that experience. For the casual fan of his music, who is looking for some great live music, this CD is a bore. Bland renditions of some of his hits, combined with inane banter in between songs simply makes for a dull listen. Parrotheads will likely enjoy this, while all others should probably steer clear. .
Feeding Frenzy
It's a great CD, it must be a universal opinion as someone stole my previous copy.
Cincinnati Rules!
8th 1990, this CD brings back great memories of Hawaiian flower shirts, Head fins, all that alcohol, plus all those outstanding tunes!
That night "Fins, One Particular Harbor and Volcano" were recorded and I can relive that night over and over forever. Having been at this concert here in Cincinnati on Aug. I bought this CD when it came out that first week in 1990 and loved every minute of it. If you're a Parrothead like I am then this CD is a "must have" for your collection. I don't go to the concerts anymore but I still love the music and listen whenever I can.
