Enjoyed this CD
I like his ability to tell an amusing story with his songs such as "The Great Filling Station Holdup" and "Peanut Butter Conspiracy". I was very happy with this CD. On a more serious note "He Went to Paris" is one of my favorites. This CD which is his earlier work has more of a country flavor and a hint of the beginnings of the Caribbean vibe he's known for now. I enjoy this CD just as much as my other Jimmy Buffett CD's. .


Classic and forever my favorite!
Anyone with a sense of humor and an appreciation for the ridiculous things in life will love this album and this artist! Parrotheads rule!. This was the first Buffett album I heard and it remains my favorite - he is a troubador in the finest sense of the word, traveling the country and telling our stories through music and song.

Had it years ago on LP, but needed to upgrade to CD. Love the music.


An old favorite back on the playlist
But ya know, I actually kinda miss the pops and scratches from the old record. This is my favorite Jimmy Buffet album of all time (Changes in Attitudes is a close second), and I'm glad I finally got a CD to replace the vinal. It almost doesn't sound right without them. But I'm going to enjoy getting used to the nice clean sound!.


Spinning Yarns
Carmen, Billy Voltaire, the Railroad Lady, Spooner, and Merrita, to name a few, are so rich in character. I challenge you to name a singer/songwriter who tells stories comparable to this guy's. The songs really transport you to Havana, Miami, and the Keys; the songwriting has such depth! .
