ANOTHER GOOD MADACY COLLECTION? This isn't possible.
What's included here is material from Buffett's albums 'Down To Earth' and 'High Cumberland Jubilee,' so if you are looking for the hits, don't look here. Jimmy Buffett's installment in the 'Golden Legends' series is a lot better than the rest of these things Madacy releases.

But, if you want a cheap way to check out some of his best early sides, than definitely pick this up. Buffett is very young, and his voice matured as time went on.

The highlights here are 'Ain't He A Genius,' 'Captain America' and 'High Cumberland Jubilee. ' But the whole thing is great. There's more to Jimmy Buffett than his MCA years.

Overall, if you haven't checked out Buffett's early years, I would definitely recommend 'Golden Legends. ' It's a great way to get acquainted to the early Buffett. This is an original Buffett collection.

Highly recommended for any Buffett fan. ENJOY!!!.

Another "Down to Earth" and "High Cumberland Jubilee Compilation"
This is a one disk set. This is Buffett's old stuff from his Barnaby Records days repackaged AGAIN! Before the Beach, American Storyteller, There's Nothing Soft About Hard Times, Best of the Early Years, Down to Earth/High Cumberland Jubilee, Captain America, and Now Yer Squawkin' all contain pretty much the same songs. Down to Earth/High Cumberland Jubilee, a 2 disk set, has these songs plus more. The track list for "Golden Legends" is:

"The Captain and the Kid"
"A Mile High in Denver"
"There's Nothing Soft about Hard Times"
"I Can't Be Your Hero Today"
"High Cumberland Jubilee/Coming Down Slow"
"Bend a Little"
"Ace"
"God Don't Own a Car"
"Captain America"
"Truckstop Salvation"
"Death Valley Lives"
"Turnabout"
"In the Shelter"
"Ain't He a Genius"
.
