Ohhhh yeah . . .
It was their first single, and really broke out well. Wherever You Will Go is THE best song on The Calling's Camino Palmero album. If you buy this single and like it, you should buy the CD Camino Palmero. You will probably enjoy all the songs on the CD. Wherever You Will Go has a strong guitar melody (strong ACOUSTIC guitar, that is. NOT electric) and extremely insightful and uplifting lyrics.
Just a great song...
Basically the song deals with losing the person that you love. This song has been playing on the radio almost constantly for several weeks now here in England, but somehow I managed to miss it until my best friend (who was at the time obsessed with this song) insisted that I listen to it. The tune and lyrics are both very catchy and will stay in your head all day (particularly if you have a slightly annoying best friend called Rachel who likes to sing almost constantly). The vocals and guitars are amazing - this song has to be one of the best to make it into the British charts this year.
However, despite how great this is, there are even better tracks on the album "Camino Palmero" so if you liked "Wherever You Will Go" then I recommend that you go buy it now.

Good Cd-Single
But about this cd-single, it's not that awesome. "Wherever You Will Go" is the best song on the Camino Palmero album, so if you enjoy this song a lot you needn't buy the album. I own this cd-single and have actually listened to the whole thing. On this cd the second track has the acoustic version of "Wherever You Will Go" I always thought that it would be great because when I first heard "Wherever You Will Go" on the radio the guitar intro sounded good. But I'm sorry, but when I heard Alex Band's voice it wasn't exactly pleasant. . . it was awful. But I still love this song!
The third track is a snippet of "Could It Be Any Harder" song about how he can't live without his girl. . .
The fourth track is a snippet of the song "Adrienne" Pretty good song, about a girl that's been using him. . . one of the good songs on the album
The fourth track is a snippet of "Unstoppable" great song about how he felt alone and how a girl is what he needs 'tonight' . . . I don't like this song, I like the song better without lyrics. .
Don't get me wrong, I like The Calling but I suggest you don't listen to anymore acoustic versions of any of their songs. Other than that, they're good! But don't expect "Wherever You Will Go" to define what the whole debut album sounds like, because the album doesn't carry the same weight as this song.
So if you don't want the album and want to have a little sampler, BUY THIS!.
Two Words!
It's brilliant and, believe it or not, it isn't the best track on their album 'Camino Palmero'! If you like Nickelback then this album is definitely for you!. BUY IT!
The Calling are wicked cool and this single just goes to prove it.
