Glen Campbell 20 Greatest Hits . All I can say is wonderful! I love this man's voice and style in the late 60s and it still stands up as good work now.
ah, the good old days!
I'd really forgotten how much I enjoyed Glen Campbell. Listening to this CD takes me back to my junior high days. This CD is a good representation of his old material. He is a talented man. I also enjoyed his tv show so this helped me recall those days. I'd recommend this for the folks who loved him back in the 60's. His music does evoke times gone by.
Wish that the CD was all song
The sound came across with excellent sounding quality. "I was pleased with the CD, I remember the songs from my past. I was a little disappointed that there were three instrumentals, I would have of enjoyed hearing the words. The two recorded live tracks, took away some of the enjoyment, if I wanted to hear live music I would of bought a concert CD. Otherwise it was a great buy. ".
Glen Hits the Mark...
She has wanted his Wichita Lineman song and such for years and we found the right deal at the right time. The Glen Campbell 20 Greatest Hits album was the perfect gift for my wife.
I liked this album!
1936) was an ever-present part of the late 60s/70s music scene with such hits as Gentle On My Mind, By The Time I Get To Phoenix, and (of course) Rhinestone Cowboy. Glen Campbell (b. And then, came the substance abuse, and it all just fell apart. In 2000, this album was cut, combining various great tunes from along Mr. Campbell's career.
Now, as the album includes such as Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay and He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother, you can tell that this is not really a collection of his top selling songs. Instead, this album gives a good cross-section of great Glen Campbell tunes, showing off the range of his performances. Overall, I liked this album, especially the old hits of Southern Nights, Rhinestone Cowboy, and Galveston. So, if you are a fan of that great 70s country and rock, then you will like this album. I know I did!.
