Took them long enough, but better late than never
I wasn't really sure what to expect from this release, but overall I think they came through. I have to say that I was surprised to learn that Candlebox was releasing a new album.

I cbecame familliar with the band, like most, with their self title album, and while for me this one doesn't top that I think it's the closest they've come. I was never interested in Lucy, and only checked it out when this album came out, I'd heard Simple Lessons, and thought it was ok, but not that good for a lead single, and the only one I'd heard. Either way there were a few better songs, but overall that one didn't really do anything for me. I did, however feel the need to check out Happy pills, not so much from the first single, It's alright, which was alright, but from the songs Happy Pills and 10,000 Horses which were great songs, and overall I felt it was a decent album, but then came this one.

Overalll the song quality on this one is pretty solid. There are a few songs that don't really do it for me, and like all C-box albums, there are way too many ballads and not enough rockers, but I've come to expect that from them, so I won't hold that against them.

Stand and Bitches brew are the album's rockers, and they're both good ones. Breathe me in is cool. I like the music to that one, kind of dark for them. I don't get why the song was split into two parts, but I have a program to take care of that, when I put it onto my computer, so I'm good.

Other songs I like are Surrendering, A Kiss Before, Into The Sun, and How Does It Feel.

The musicianship on the album is solid as always. It always bugged me that these guys never got the credit for their talents that they deserve. The vocals are also solid as well.

If you're a fan of thye band, don't hesitate to get this one. You won't be disappointed.

Still rocking after all these years...
The guys haven't lost a thing since their huge debut album. From the very start, Into the Sun grabs hold and let's you know you are listening to Candlebox. With a great mix of in-your-face rock and brilliant ballads, this release is a must have. Buy this album.

This Album Rocks
I have been a candlebox fan since I met my wife, (back in 2001 when she was still my 'girlfriend') she had all 3 albums and they were here favorite. I got to listen to them over and over almost every night. i got into songs like 'You' and 'Far Behind'; '10000 horses' and 'Happy pills' etc. . I liked the songs but I felt the overall feel of these albums was sad and depressing. . . Then while waiting for the next disk I heard that Kevin and Peter were not getting along. . Peter wanted to do a more "Pink Floyd" type sound and Kevin wanted to do what he does. . . His solo record is excellent. 'Kevin Martin and the HiWatts'. If you like Candlebox and don't have it. . . get it. . .
I was really disappointed that they broke up. . . there are very few singer/guitar player duos who come along who have a tone the likes of Page and Plant or Tyler and Perry or Buckingham and Nicks that just goes together and works no matter what they do. . . Martin and Klett are right there with the aforementioned acts. Kevin's voice and Peter's guitar just go together and sound incredible together. This album is definitely their best effort. And considering how good the first 3 are, that's saying a lot.
This album delivers right from the start. Every song is strong, both lyrically and melodically. The guitar sounds incredible. Peter's tone is just incredible. Everybody talks about Kevin's voice, and don't get me wrong, he has the chops of Plant and the free flowing bluesy feel of Chris Robinson as well as having his own original sound, but without the guitar tone of Peter Klett his songs just don't seem to have the same power, the same feel. Together these guys are a monster. I just hope that others feel it as well. Keep up the awesome work you guys. . . . If you like excellent rock and roll you need to have this record.

Candlebox is still the real deal and No Talent Copycat Posers like Nickelcrap @ Creedycrap @ Puddle Of Crap still SUCK!!
ENOUGH SAID!!. Candlebox created it , toured it , improved on it , and the million No Talent , Copycat , Poser bands stole it , and they SUCK!! Into The Sun just proves the original is always best.

Fresh sound that I want more of
The bluesy grooves of some of the tracks just make you sit back, close your eyes and smile. The album contains some of the best guitars and vocals in this age of bad rock music. Some tracks sound eerily familiar to their first album, but hey, that's why they went platinum back then! Its a refreshing change from current popsters and one I hope comes back again soon. .
