thwe uncut version is frigin sweet!i cant belive ppl cry how dumb or gross this is its all fun music to me good heavy music with thunderpous drum beats and vocals and crazy album cobers very recomended great hewavy mu.
AGGGHH!
The music sucks. Now I'm not one of those hyper conservative people who thinks music influences people, but that cover art is just plain fricken disgusting, I mean, seriously, it's almost as bad as the music. Poser gore crap. Listen to Death and Obituary for death metal instead.
Best Cover Art Ever!!!
Well, let me reiterate: BEST COVER ART!!!
Now, as for the tunes. Now, my other CC review heralds the cover for "The Wretched Spawn" as the best cover art, but I am pretty sure I gave a shout to this album somewhere in there. CC definitely proves they can tear it up musically. This exhausting CD emits some of the band's rawest material to date. It's so F-ing fast, you're sweating when it's done. Okay, that was lame.
Now, for the lyrics. Poetry. Pure poetry. You can browse them on google or something. I c*m blood was not half shabby. I did cry. Not for good reasons. But I did.
Cannibal's Most Extreme Offering : Delicious.
Especially Chris - whose vocals on this album are THE most undecipherable ever. The guys from Cannibal Corpse definitely outdid themselves on this one. His low, cupped-mic grunts contrast nicely with the razor sharp precision of the music. The instrumental execution is much improved from their previous 2 releases. One can hear every instrument distinctly - especially the bass. The separation achieved in the mix is quite different from almost any Death Metal release I have ever heard (and I've heard lots). The only gripe I would have is that it seems to be the shortest in duration of all their albums. One of their best (a top-spot tie with The Bleeding), yet so short. Ah well, just play it again!! The lyrics are also the most disgusting ever. Barnes was really good at this - his lyrics are better than the ones they are doing now. Definitely not for the faint of heart, and I would not recommend it as an introduction to this band, much less as an introduction to the genre. For that, I'd steer you to The Bleeding, or to any Obituary cd. But, for the already initiated DM maniac, this album is pure bliss.
Patherson don't know Metal
This patherson guy like rush (i hate rush) and brusce springstien, and thinks he knows anything about metal, how the hell did you get to a Corpse page anyways. I've never heard a CC album that didn't make me want to mutilate thing's(bunnies mostly). The only thing bad about this album is that its clean.
