I went and saw Cannibal Corpse at the Sounds of the Underground tour. It was wayyyyy worth it. Hammer smashed face is freakin awesome. Posers( AKA the Green Day of the Death Metal World) It has become a cliche. Please, CC is everything that is wrong with death metal. Poor songwriting, bad musicianship and production. If you want good death metal might I suggest Obituary, Carcass, early Sepultura, even Napalm Death is better then this garbage. breaking ground The death metal single. This is a rare product. Pretty great if you ask me. This is about as close a death metal band can come to having a "hit", especially considering that its on the Ace Ventura soundtrack (and they are in the directors cut where Ace gets on stage - sorry if this is already stated in the reviews). The review below is an example of how art is perceived to someone who's been exposed to the copy cats countless times before experiencing the original. This is why Citizen Kane truly seems like nothing special to me eventhough older film critics realize the value. But I actually still love this take on heavy metal and appreciate the well placed and planned sloppiness which Cannibal has instituted to symbolize the mad scientist homicidal themes of their music.
