The remix is butter (4.5 stars) but the original is where it's at (5 stars). 4.75 stars.
Here are the big differences!

Thank God I Found You - An mid-tempo ballad, off of Rainbow (1999) about being lonely and alone for so long, and growing cold in the process. The lyrics are awesome to both. Just when you're at wit's end, and falling to pieces, scattering, He comes along to pick you up, and carry on with you. To hold and protect you. To remind you it's not so messed up after all. =^) Features one of R&B's most famous and well-known crooners, Joe and Pop-R&B superstars, 98 Degrees.

Thank God I Found You (Remix) - Another mid-tempo groove that wasn't included on the final release of Rainbow. It would've fit right in though! Features Nasir "Nasty Nas" Jones and Joe once again. It basically retraces the steps of the original, accept Mariah is half as alone and 1/3 (or less) desperate for love. Great, but no comparison to the original which not only features more heartwarming and heartfelt lyrics but overall, showcases the better vocal runs.

Great single
. I bought this single just for the unreleased remix it has, a little bit more uptempo.

Not Great, Not Bad
Mariah is a superb vocalist, even better than Whitney, but this song is kind of weak. My two favorite Mariah ballads are "Love Takes Time" and "Can't Let Go", but this one isn't bad. Joe and 98 Degrees don't add much. But it is a cute love song.
