Mariah's Imperfect collection
I have been a fan of Mariah Carey for as long as she's been singing. . But I was not really captured by any of these tracks on Imperfect Angel. I found her Perfect Voice overpowered by too much backround clutter music.


Another Gem from Mariah!!
For this one, she works more with her low voice as shown on the addictive "Betcha Goin' know", the opening track but also offers the best of her high notes and her super difficult vocal arrangements in songs like "Inseparable" (where she nods Beyonce's "Halo"), "Angels Cry" and "I Want to Know What Love Is". Not exactly easy listening, this album it's an excellent work, it shows Mariah's maturity as musician and as a vocalist. All of them will please her older fans who prefer the ballads as much as they will love "Languishing" which is on the line of previous unreleased yet popular tracks from other albums ("Vanishing", "Looking in" "Petals"). In the past, Mariah has written songs for lost love but on the perspective of missing the lost one or wanting to return back with her lover. This time, she lets her agressive side shows on songs like "Obsessed", the catchy and super funny "Up Out My Face" and the powerful "Standing O". Get this album for christmas for you and your friends, they will thank you forever!!.


Easily one of her best
Like a lot of people have said, this album definitely grows on you after a while and after like three times listening to it i'm in love with every song. I have fallen in love with this album. Also, a lot of people a all worked up about how "mariah has changed" and isn't the same as she was in the 90's, and how she doesn't "sing" anymore.

Okay, people and especially artists change as time goes on. Mariah is definitely becoming more R&B, but for those who claim she doesn't produce the power ballads anymore obviously haven't heard "Angel's Cry" from this album. And on top of that, what more does Mariah have to prove? She's like the best selling female artist of all time - she doesn't have to include the same "universal ballads of inspiration" that she did a lot of before. Bottom line: it's a great album, the talent is definitely still there and Mariah rocks it out on MOAIA.


Another Golden Album....
Mariah can sing her heart out. . . . My favorite is Angels Cry,I want to know what love is (the remake is so awesome). . . this whole ablum is awesome!.


Oh! Mariah ....
I will always love her music not matter what. I have been a Mariah Carey fan since the age of 14. With that said, I have to say that I would just like to see Mariah's music grow with her! On E=MC2, I would have to say the lyrics were awesome but that the beats did not match the lyrics. Like seriously Weebie, Yung Joc, on a Mariah track. Like seriously! Now this time we have Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, I think by far she is her best vocally, but the lyrics are so wack. Up out my face . . . seriously! Now don't get me wrong this CD is in heavy rotation in my car, my home, and in my office. I love the album because I love Mariah. But where was Jermaine on this album? Where is Jermaine? I just think Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel should have been a double CD with like a mini movie. She has been around long enough to do that. I feel like she should have worked with every producer that has helped her get a #1. I like Tricky and the The Dream but they so did not need to do the entire album. These are your Memoirs Mariah! Love her, I can't wait for the next album!.
