Overrated
I heard that Cat Power was the great new female vocalist and songwriter. so I downloaded this album. My expectations were high because I knew she couldn't be as good as Carrie Underwood. I was so disappointed! This was garbage! Her voice is annoying and manly, the songs and slow and boring, there aren't any MTV music videos and there aren't any lyrics about love and friends. . what gives? Listen to Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne or Ashlee Simpson instead.

what is wrong with you people?
They're called AC/DC and they're an embarrassment. Exactly how many different times do you "die-hard" fans want Chan to write Moon Pix? Have you ever heard of progression and evolution? Yeah there is a band that stays true to their "roots" and still sounds EXACTLY the same as they did in 1980. Do you really want music with depth such as Cat Power to keep writing the same album over and over just to appease all of you pretentious indie listeners? How about drop the act and focus on her ability as a singer and songwriter? Isn't that what music is supposed to be about afterall? I haven't heard one weak album by Cat Power. They are all amazing, as is this one. Try actually listening to the music. These are the same types of people that criticized Tom Waits for how different Bone Machine was than his work from the '70s.

Literally
. One of the only Cat Power discs that I can stomach, with fuller-fleshed out arrangements finely complimenting her questionable songwriting skills and growing vocal strengths.

Chan Marshall May impress us even yet.
With Songs like "Lived in Bars" and "the Greatest" Marshall gives us a modern day song with her personal touch that no other can seem to reach. Chan Marshalls raspy, mysterious voice has brought us to a new level of her music in a modern sense. This CD is a must own if you are a Cat Power fan. .

About this edition
The only thing I want to make clear this is the same CD but comes inside a card sleeve that's why the cover in the picture looks different. I agree with most reviews here, it's a great album. Otherwise has a great price that's worth's paying.
