What the hell happened to Circle?


I thought that live version was the best recording he'd ever done. Almost all of Harry's stuff gets five stars from me, but what the hell happened to the 7:30 live version of Circle, that used to appear only on this CD?

Here it says it was replaced by the 3:35 studio version, which can easily be found elsewhere. He got into a long monologue about World Hunger Year, and about how he did most of his concerts as benefits, his brothers, and Yvonne, take turns singing lines, and the audience just ate it up.

Now that's gone?!

The ISBN of my 1988 Elektra/Asylum CD which has this version is 0 7559-60773-2 3.

Do yourselves a favor and see if this is indeed what you'll be getting before you order. I just can't believe this was taken off!.

A Great Remembrance
With Harry, you have to listen to all the words, as each of his songs tell a story. If you enjoy the type of Music that Harry sang, then you'll enjoy this compilation. Weather each person relates to a specific song is an individual thing, and therefore some may enjoy his songs more than others.


Gold Medal Collection
Listening to the two disc CD took me back to the times I saw Harry and the band perform live many years ago. This is an absolute MUST for the true Harry Chapin fan. An absolute joy!.


A definite part of an Chapin fan's collection
I got it & have played it repeatedly. This CD was recommended from a friend. It has some Harry Chapin commentaries on it from the man himself. A lot of live versions of his hits as well. An integral part of a collection form an Harry Chapin fan.
