May I have some more, please??
The thing is, like so many other talented Christian artists, the music can sometimes be a bit over-produced. Steven Curtis Chapman was one of the first Christian artists I started listening to, and I've always had a lot of respect for his skills as a singer, songwriter, guitar player and performer. That seems to be par for the course in the music industry, and it's unfortunate because some really good songs can start to sound outdated really fast with that kind of treatment.

This is most definitely not the case with Abbey Road Sessions! Short as it is, it stands out as one of my all-time favorite cd's, and my only wish is for more of the same: Take no prisoners, no holds barred, no apologies - just great music. I haven't watched the DVD yet, so I can't review it, but Abbey Road alone was worth the price for me.

A different take on some of his greatest hits
This latest CD includes both of those tracks as well as recordings of "More to This Life", "For the Sake of the Call" and "Treasure of You". I was always a little curious about those "Abbey Road Sessions" that produced the live versions of "Lord of the Dance" and "The Walk" that appeared on the Greatest collection album back in 1997. It's all good stuff, with a completely different kind of energy than the original versions of these songs. I especially like this version of "Treasure of You"; you can just hear how much fun they were having making the record.

I think my only complaint, and it's a mild one, is that the combination is a little pricey considering that there are only five tracks on the CD (and two of those were previously released). The package does include a DVD that features an hour-long documentary and some other interesting things, but I would love to have heard some more of the live music tracks (if there were any others from that session).
