Music: Good... Sonics: Great!!!
I feel there was a bit to much "pop" influence though. We all love the music and the man. To modern a twist on such greats. As far as the sound? This is a diffrent story indeed. If you have an afinity for the "high-end", "You will aprreciate it here. With ultra highend audio, any glich in the studio will be noticed, especially with vinal. This disc has many BUT, not one will deture from the performence itself. They are akin to the scraches in fine lether. I highly recomend this piece for many reasons. If nothing els, "GOD BLESS SACD AND RAY CHARLES!!!!" Please keep buying them and keep this flame alive!!!!!! "Just listen" .


If you like Ray - this is one you'll like
This recording with some of his genius friends is a wonderful collection of Ray's songs but with a SACD twist. I was lucky and grew up when Ray Charles went through all his trials and tribulations. SACD makes this just like you are sitting in a café listening to Ray and watch him move his head from side to side. Showman? He was among the top and it will take a whole lot to topple him.


As good as it gets!
Pure bliss!. What else is there to say? If you don't own this you are really missing out.


Good SACD
The songs are good also, with many companion of other singer bring nice atmosphere . I compare the CD and SACD, and found that SACD sounds a bit better than the CD in stereo.


Mediocre
For some reason no one can duplicate the sacd multichannel quality in Dire Straits or Allison Krause. The songs are poor, the recording quality is worse.
