One of a kind I remember when the records came out (I have/had both) and the controversy. He was called "Genius" and this is why. Soon after he was a household name recognised as the groundbreaking Genius he was for the rest of his life. He broke barriers that helped create open music for all of us. I am glad these records are available again.
Another Ray Charles Classic
Classic Ray. . a short scene in the movie, and a lot of great tunes, many that have been covered so many times you would not see them as "country" today.
Modens sounds in Country and Western Music
I am 68 years old and lift weights 4 hours a week and use this album to keep me in rhythm and keep me uplifted and happy. This album is as good as it gets. I absolutely love sit.
Best Ray Charles Album
You will be in tears after hearing it. This is the best Ray Charles Album he ever recorded.
Old School Ray Charles
Being a Ray Charles fan for many years I guess I`m still stuck with Georgia ON MY Mind. Heard a lot about this classic collection on NPR and its new re-release as a double CD. I love Country and Western in general but maybe I was expecting too much from this Collection. It was OK, but more of a Cross-Over then real Country for me. I now remember listening to some of these songs years ago on this CD but did`nt connect back then that was Ray, doing Country. I`l listen to it a few more times. . . maybe it will grow on me.
