Just a guy being used to make a quick buck off a couple songs teenager girls might like
Louis and have been listening to St. I'm from St. Lunatics tapes since the late 90's. Nelly came onto the national scene and showed the face of the midwest. Chingy is a tool being used by Jermaine Dupri to bottom feed on the St. Louis rapper pool to make a worthless rapper look the part and promote his songs big because their shelf life is on par with ground beef. Nelly is the real deal, he is what comes across in his music which has depth and truth. Chingy is a kid looking at his idols and trying to copy it. He should get on his knees and thank Jermaine Dupri every day and save every dime he makes because even teenage girls get sick of bad musicians (if you can call him that).

Jackpot Wasn't Struck With This One [2 Stars]
"Make it hop, boing like a bunny/Girl can I touch you where it's sunny/or a purse and make you give her some money. . "

WOW!

These are the type of rhymes that have been hitting the St. Louis mainstream since mid 2000. As many of the reviewers have stated, Chingy has very little or no talent at all. The 2 lines above were taken from his hit single "Right Thurr". To be honest, I bought the CD just because of the big hitting bass of that song. So when I decided to listen to the rest of the CD, things just went down. Aside from Chingy's terrible rhymes, the production is horrible also. Blame the Trackstarz for some of the short commings as in the second song "He's Herre" with the addition of Chingy's, I'd say sub-medicore, lyrics with the song makes it not all good. Another Trackstarz production is the song "Chingy Jackpot" that may be known to get people in a club onto the dance floor. By the three songs I just named, most of Chingy's [wack] lyrics have something to do with sex, drinking, or smoking. He couldn't even leave it out of the possibly best song on the CD and the 3rd single "One Call Away" a love song where he says, ". . . we can go puff on a blunt/oh you don't smoke, we can go somewhere and get drunk. . . " Intoxication is highly on his agenda. Sex is also on it too as he says on the song "Sample That A**" featuring Murphy Lee of the St. Lunitics which is ran through by a weak (and uncreative) hook. To make matters worse, the thought he could take the talent on (I'm not sure if this is really) singing on the song "Wurrs My Cash" thinking he is a pimp asking one of his so-called hoes "Wurrs My Cash?" She would have been better off with a [normal] 9 to 5 job, than working for this joke of a pimp.

But there is a sunshine through the small cracks of this CD. Chingy barely steps his lyrical content on the second single "Holidae Inn" (give it a few more years before that becomes a lawsuit), where he raps about going to a party with Ludacris and Snoop Dogg with a bunch of girls. "Bagg Up" is a song for some reason I'm liking, because Chingy pulls it together with some meidocore lyrics such as "The streets is mine, like a mixtape when an emcee rhyme. . ". The last song "Right Thurr (Remix)" features Jermaine Dupri and Trina was not that much appealing as the first one, unless you want to hear some verses from others.

Chingy's debut is not all that good except for those who have a taste for his style or want to hear some club or dance tracks to bounce to. Recommended for people who are exactly just for that, or just want to hear some music come out of St. Louis.

If simon cowell could get a stab at him
first of all, he lacks the ability to speak english, (ie. this album is the most rubbish i have heard in my life. right thurr)he is a wanna be nelly he sounds like lil wayne when he first came out. now that he is out he needs to go back in.

What a great disc!!!
And the fact that this edition of the CD comes with a bonus DVD makes it even more worth getting!!! Recommended indeed! My favorite song on the CD as of this moment is "Wurrs My Cash?", but that could change when I listen to the songs I haven't heard. I haven't heard every song on this CD yet, but from what I've heard so far, it is great! Chingy and Twista are like the best rap I've heard in a while. I also like the Jackpot the Pimp skit.
