Well Worth The Money For Any CKY Fan This is the type of album that sounds better and better with every listen without showing signs of dullness unlike CKY's previous effort "An Answer Can Be Found" which to me wasn't even worth a second listen. Purchased this album a few weeks back, and its not hard to tell that CKY worked hard as ever on this project. Carver City consists of 15 tracks including 2 instrumentals and a couple of power ballads. The Deron Miller guitar riffs are solid as always and Jess Margera has shown increased ability on drums. This album is also mixed well and the sound quality is great. Overall probably CKY's best yet. It's also cool to see that "Dropped" has finally been finished. A song that CKY has been trying to re release since "Infiltrate Destroy Rebuild". It was released as "Plagued By Images" on this album. .
CKY just keeps getting better!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the time most bands reach their fourth studio album, they're starting to show signs of repeating themselves and turning out imitations of their earlier work. With each new release it's easy to see (or hear) that CKY just keeps getting better. This is NOT the case with Carver City. It is definitely fresh and shows a MAJOR growth from Vol. 1 and IDR. If you don't know what those are you need to stop reading now because you are not a true CKY fan and need to hop off the bandwagon now so you don't ruin it for the rest of us. With that said, this newest achievement will blow you away. CIG's producing is outstanding (check out The Moxy for more of that) and the guitar sound of CKY is still intact, however it has grown as well. After a disappointing ad campaign for An Answer Can Be Found, it appears as though CKY has found a great new home with Roadrunner Records and is looking toward great things in the future. I wish them all the best and will DEFINITELY see them on the road as much as possible.
Bands most cohesive effort to date
Theatrical in content, eclectic but hard-hitting. Fantastic album. Out-there but accessible. Old and new.
The only thing that bothers me is that they have no Jackass-related thing happening to help promote it, because the album is not getting much press. Truly a shame, great effort.
CKY Does It Again!
Solid all the way through. Another spectacular album from the boys from Weschester. . . . no filler, although there never is on a CKY album. The moog is back and so is this band in a big way. You'll be doing your ears a disservice if you don't pick up this album to add to your collection. I'd describe it, but their music is pretty indescribable. You have to hear it for yourself and trust me, you won't be disappointed. Listen to CKY. .
cKy's best album to date !!
This in my opinion is easily the best work they have ever done. I am a huge cKy fan, have been for years. Very solid from start to finish. Personal favorites are: Plagued by Images, . . . And She Never Returned, Boardwalk Body, and Imaginary Threats. Actually I love them all, 5/5 !!!.
