Rock and Roll at it's best His partnership with
Leon Russell created some of the best of the rock and roll era in the late
60's and early 70s. Hadn't kept up with Joe Cocker since the 70's, but found his later work
to be good, though not as good as the early years. I couldn't figure out his spastic style whenever I
saw him perform on television in those early years, but it worked somehow.
He's a unique singer for sure.
Cocker, the real thing!
This CD chooses his trademark songs and delivers the nuances of sound and interpretation that are Joe's trademarks. Joe Cocker is a living and performing legend. I wasn't disappointed!.
Good deal!
Enjoying it!. I've looked for this CD for a while, and can't find it most places until now.
A Gift Well Appreciated
Wow! He just enjoys is over and over again. I gave this as a Christmas gift, hoping the recipient would like it. It has all the important songs he loves, done the way he remembers them. It covers Cocker's music from the beginning, pulling the best from each year. If you are a Cocker fan like he is, go for it. .
Better than gold
His passion comes through as strongly as his talent. While nothing is as good as hearing Joe Cocker live and in person, this album comes pretty darned close. A raw, but lived-in voice, lends meaning to the words. A good solid portfolio of his work.
