. Don't get me wrong, I love Leonard Cohen but 10 New Songs and the more recent compilation of these songs on Various Positions is better.


Various Positions reviewed
Then i didn't listen to him for awhile. I listened to Leonard Cohen in the old years and liked the poetry of his songs. Recently, he came out with a reprise concert Live in London, which i loved. Call me sentimental, but Leonard singing Leonard at age 73 really touched me, as did the warm response of the audience. I decided to fill out my library of Leonard Cohen music. I just wasn't as thrilled with this album. Maybe it was the lack of a live audience or the specific lyrics here, but the LOVE just didn't come through for me. I'll try other Leonard Cohen CDs, though.


Good albums
I am collecting up albums I remember from my youth and this was a welcome addition.


One of Cohen's best
Almost as good as his earlier work , an album that you will hear again and again. One of the few composers that can transform his poetry into beautiful and popular songs. .


I missed Leonard in the 60's and 70's
I heard a voice in the background of a video thru the internet. I missed the 60's and 70's raising children. I asked around and finally found that it was Leonard Cohen. I love his voice. He tells a story thru his songs and they are calming to me. I'm glad I found him. It's never too late. I now have 6 of his CD's.
